MCCM Architect’s, predecessor firm
Minzenmayer McGee, Architects, was retained by Southern
State Bank in South Houston to modernize the existing
bank and design a totally new motor bank facility. This
bank had a very large drive-in banking clientele and
limited space to accommodate it. The concept of a raised
teller booth and bookkeeping department over the customer
deposit kiosks maximized the use of the property. Commercial
customers have their own teller’s window on the
back side of the teller’s tower.
