Chapel in the Woods, a non-denominational
chapel at Willow River Farms, was designed for the rural
living community of mentally disabled adults in San
Felipe. Willow River Farms was established in 1989 by
the Center for the Retarded Inc.
The chapel is located in a tree dense high bluff overlooking
the farm. Because of the surrounding natural environment,
glass doors were designed on both sides of the Chapel
allowing full exposure to the exterior on favorable
days.
