MCCM Architects, in association with Clark
Condon Associates, provided programming and architectural
and engineering services for the restroom and concession
facilities and two tensile fabric pavilions for Celebration
Park. Celebration Park is a new 100 acre park located
in the northeast area of the City of Allen, Texas. The
restroom/concession facilities and pavilions illustrated
here are part of the first phase development of this
park. The first phase development also includes 15 soccer
fields, two baseball fields, childrens playground
and sprayground, a small lake, a grand lawn, trails
and parking. The second phase will include additional
baseball fields, tennis courts, additional restroom/concession
facilities and another pavilion. The circular restroom
and concession buildings are grouped around the tensile
fabric soccer pavilion which provides shade for informal
gatherings and activities. The larger lake pavilion
at the east end of the grand lawn will be used for more
structured activities associated with events and performances
as well as informal gatherings. Exterior construction
materials consist primarily of bold colored stucco walls
and the white tensile fabric roof panels. |
